“Your body lives in the past, your mind in the future. They come together in the present when you practice Yoga.”
-B.K.S. Iyengar
With the change of seasons, can come profound changes in our mood and energy. Especially at the end of summer and with the approach of winter, it’s important to reconnect to our yoga practice to feel balanced and healthy in body and mind through the darker, colder months.
In this 3-hour workshop, we will ease you back into building up your yoga practice. It will be a well-rounded class drawing upon supine, standing, inverted, forward, and restorative postures, and a perfect way to get back into feeling strong and reconnected to yourself again.
We will also look at strategies to restart yoga after a break due to holidays, injury, or illness. We will explore ways to vary or modify asanas when one is feeling “rusty” or out of shape. One of the beautiful aspects of yoga in the Iyengar yoga tradition is that it makes it possible for all of us to practice yoga, at any stage of life. We only need to understand how to practice yoga in a way that is right for us.
