A balanced interplay of stability and mobility is the basis for a healthy and sustainable yoga practice. Too much flexibility without support can overload the joints, too much stability without flexibility can restrict the body.
In this workshop, we explore how the principles of Iyengar Yoga help to combine both. Precise alignment, the targeted use of props, and a differentiated approach make it possible to build stability, promote flexibility, and become more aware of your own practice.
Participants will learn how to develop powerful, supportive structures while creating lightness, flexibility, and expansiveness. This leads to a deeper understanding of the body that extends beyond the mat—a fitting conclusion to the yoga year.
Prerequisite: at least 1 year of regular practice in Iyengar Yoga
