YOGA WEEKEND WORKSHOP
PRACTICE, ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY
with ROGER COLE, PhD
October 16-18, 2015
The workshop begins with stretching which teaches to deal safely and effectively with the intense muscle stretch that is experienced in yoga postues. The other classes will focus on using anatomy and kinesiology to direct stretching and strengthening actions precisely to specific locations in the body. The strecthing class teaches mindfulness, which is an essential part of all the muscle strengthening techniques, and an essential part of yoga. Each class will combine clear anatomical explanations through practice to progress step-by-step into yoga postures while maximizing mobility, strength, and comfort.
