June 19th Sunday Workshop-How to Practice Yoga at Home

posted in: News, Workshops | 0

Abhyasa, is Sanskrit for constant and determined study or practice, and is one of the cornerstones of yoga. Learning yoga with a teacher is essential, however, to integrate yoga into your life, it’s necessary to have a home practice. Many people find it difficult to know what to practice, when to practice, how often, and for how long.

In this workshop, practical information will be given to take home, so you can design sequences for youself and stay committed to your practice. This is great wasy to get ready for your summer holiday! People who already have a home practice can bring questions; for example how to incorporate new asanas or pranayama? Come prepared to do yoga and to take notes. Bring a notebook and, if you have Yoga the Iyengar Way by Silva, Mira, and Shyam Mehta (Deutsch, Yoga Gymnastik), bring it to the workshop.

This workshop is open to all yoga students with a minimum six months Iyengar yoga experience.
