Practice is the foundation of yoga in the Iyengar tradition. Workshops teach practical approaches to establish stability in your yoga practice. IYZB weekend workshops focus on establishing yoga as a way of life through the path of dedicated, uninterrupted practice and self-study. A sound yoga practice can help us live our lives more fully, deepen health, nourish relationships, and give back to the world.
Sessions include instruction in asana and pranayama as well as talks and discussion of yoga philosophy, ethics, and basic anatomy. Everyone will learn in a methodical, safe, and progressive manner; gain practical experience relating simple and complex asana; and build a firm understanding of how foundational asana provide a pathway to more challenging asana in both body and mind.
The workshops are open to everyone who practices Iyengar Yoga regularly and wants to delve deeper into practice and study and are recommended for those interested in the Mentorship Program to become an Iyengar Yoga Teacher.
