Anja teaches a gentle  class on Thursday. The aim of the course is to develop body awareness, release tension in the muscles and promote joint mobility. By strengthening the spine and opening the chest, the breath can flow (again) better and inner peace and balance can unfold. Anja’s teaching is characterized by special sensitivity and empathy, so that everyone feels comfortable and safe with her, regardless of age or ability.

In Iyengar-Yoga Anja appreciates the detailed work and the penetration into deeper and deeper layers of the body. The use of props makes this intensive and precise way of practicing possible for everyone. There is no “too old”, “too weak” or “too awkward” in Iyengar Yoga. As an Iyengar Yoga teacher, Anja sees the possibility for everyone to practice yoga at their own pace.

Anja Link: …and yoga can do much more than strengthen the body. For me yoga is always connection of body and mind. And so my goal in teaching is not only a “beautiful yoga class”, but to take something of the body consciousness and the serenity of Iyengar Yoga from the mat into everyday life.
